Minutes after being dropped off at College I was asked to a party. As a new freshman I felt excited and yet uncertain about attending “The Last Bash Before Summer Ends.” It was the night before classes began and while tempted, I decided not to go. I figured there would be other parties. Truthfully, I had no idea.

I was already juggling a lot; my parent’s divorce, living on campus, a new roommate, eating at the dining hall, doing my own laundry, working a new part-time job and going to class. Honestly, I was apprehensive about my new college life. There was a lot to manage and I’d already been warned that the majority of my freshman class would drop out.

After finishing my courses the next day, I walked back to my room feeling less anxious and relieved I’d made it everywhere on time. Opening the door to the dormitory, I was besieged with loud music and a group of guys hurriedly making posters in the hall for tonight’s “First Day of School Party.” I checked my watch and the pre-party to the party had already begun at two in the afternoon.

I was having a tough time finding balance; everything was competing for my time, attention and energy. Years later when I visited the Ringling Brothers museum in Sarasota, Florida I learned they actually taught juggling classes. The College of Business at my University didn’t. Instead, they taught us about negotiating tradeoffs.

Tradeoffs is a simple concept of trying to find balance. Openly trading one thing for another is the founding premise of the idea. In college freshman terms; it was the choice to party vs. attending class. I accepted the paradigm and tried in vain to find balance.

For years, I attempted two-ball juggling acts like; time vs. money, work vs. home, spouse vs. kids. The problem was straightforward; I was faced with more balls, in the form of additional choices and alternatives, than I could juggle. It didn’t matter this method was doomed to never work, it was all I had. In the end I was a performer trying to juggle while standing on a ball. Seeking a more balanced foundation, I now looked for the perfect environment.

I began searching for the perfect place to; work, live, raise kids and succeed. After moving a dozen times it never once occurred to me that I was unbalanced. I knew I wasn’t quite happy or content but I attributed that to not finding the perfect place.

Then a revelation. Finding balance meant coming back to the balance in me. But what if my compass was off? How would I ever find my center if I’d never ever really experienced true balance? I was deeply concerned. How would I find it now?

It was within me where I found the secret to balance – not just for me – but in everything. Instead of managing tradeoffs as I had practiced -I let it all go. This is easy to write and even easier to read but it’s a pivotal key to long lasting balance.

Once I finished with competitively juggling one thing for another a huge shift transpired. I discovered real balance to be deeply internal. Focusing on my internal balance allowed me to be naturally centered. The result was everything external aligned.

Many New Year’s resolutions don’t materialize because there’s no connection to your desire, dream or goal. So, instead of writing long lists that never seem to manifest I thought it would be fun to create a social experiment.

The idea is to write on your body those thoughts, beliefs or inspirations that you want to create. Think about what you’re writing and how it feels to wear it. Take a picture or have a friend snap one. Then share it on Facebook, Google+, Twitter and at your own blog or web-site.

Let yourself go and feel the words that you scribe anywhere on your body. The purpose is to write on yourself those words you really feel.

Get creative. Pose. Get caught in the act. Create a yoga position. Participate with others. Playfully engage in any way that feels fun and truthful to communicate want you want to change this year.

Send me your photos and I’ll post them on Facebook (view them here.) Follow on Twitter #word2012

As he watched the birds fly, a young Indian boy named Devdan wished he too could soar above the surrounding cliffs. Scaling the mountain was hard work; well at least that’s what his elders had told him. And he believed them, too. Children in his tribe were prohibited from even attempting the climb, so Devdan had practiced hiking much smaller hills in preparation for the time when he would finally be offered the chance to climb the mountain. It was all the young boy could think about because it was all he was inspired to do.

Devdan well knew the traditions of his people: the opportunity to climb the mountain would be offered by the Tribal Chief to all boys who became of age. It was an esteemed rite. Further, Devdan had clearly observed that boys who didn’t promptly climb the mountain because of fear or accidents were treated differently in the tribe. It appeared to Devdan that they lost the respect of their community. The striking teen didn’t want that! His father and grandfather had shared with him many times the importance of respect, and he wanted to earn respect, too.

Everyday in the small tribal village, young males would play games that taught them skills they would need when they were called upon to climb the mountain. It was commonplace for elders to guide the boys’ performance during the games. Each lad expected and looked forward to receiving advice from the elders. And appeasing them was important. Devdan was exceptionally good at the games. With each new exercise he learned, his talent was so great that it seemed as though he must have played before. Playing the games wasn’t hard- even the new ones- but Devdan could see the frustration in the eyes of his peers who weren’t as athletic. They struggled to learn and master the games.

Devdan asked his Father about his observation. “Father, it seems unfair that some of the boys don’t have a chance to win.”

Devdan’s Father answered, “Do you feel badly about winning?”

“No, that’s not it. I really like to win, but I don’t understand why the others don’t get to win too?

The father responded slowly. He appreciated the wisdom of his son’s question and said “These games have been with us since the beginning of our tribe and they are very important to our identity and purpose. They show us whom the gods will choose to lead our tribe as our next Tribal Chief. You do want to win, don’t you?”

Immediately understanding the need not to appear weak, Devdan responded as he had learned from the other warriors of the tribe: “Yes, sir!” as he left his father’s side.

Day after day, Devdan continued to show his natural expertise by leading the games with victory after victory. Many of the boys had already begun to whisper that Devdan would surely conquer the mountain with the best time ever recorded in the history of the tribe. These rumors were accentuated by the tribal elders who administered the boys’ games. Soon, everyone was talking about the strength and leadership of Devdan. It was clear to most of the tribe that he was destined to be a great leader, yet it was not commonly known that the Chief and the Tribal Council had also noticed Devdan and his many wins. The Chief knew that this boy Devdan, whose name meant “a gift from the gods,” was special.

But Devdan didn’t feel special. He grew bored of the games that he so commonly won. They were easy and he wondered if his journey up the mountain would really be that hard. “But it had to be,” he reminded himself. The older boys who had completed the journey went on and on about how hard the climb had been. The elders always said the same thing. Devdan didn’t want to disappoint his father and the others when it came time for his chance to climb the mountain, so he put away foolish thoughts that it could be easy.

Yet, Devdan found great comfort in watching the hawks glide higher and higher like they were magically being lifted to the top of the cliffs without flapping their wings. One night during a very vivid dream, Devdan felt he was able to fly like a hawk. He stood at the base of the mountain and with ease he lifted his arms and began to free himself from the earth’s pull. Devdan felt wonderful excitement as his feet were no longer tethered to the earth. Without his legs to carry him forward, he began to feel he could go anywhere. While this felt fun, it also seemed scary because it wasn’t what he had grown accustomed too. It was weird to go beyond the strength and power of his legs.

Devdan, in his dream, initially hovered close to the ground flying and circling, twisting and twirling. Then, during an in-flight back roll, his eyes opened to see the vast mountain that he had stared at all of this life. In an instant he turned his body and opened himself to fly even higher. No longer paying attention to the safety of the ground, Devdan flew higher and higher observing the many layers that composed the mountain. He could feel that he was nearing the top. Putting even more awareness into the moment, Devdan instantly caught an unseen stream of air that propelled him in a way he never had thought possible.

Just like the hawks, Devdan flew easily in and around the cliffs enjoying the lifting sensation that was created by air blowing against the peaks. To Devdan, flying felt easy and fun. It was exactly as he thought it would be when he had watched the hawks fly from below.

During his exploration of the skies, Devdan felt an overwhelming desire go to a mesquite tree located at the top of the cliffs. Not at all tired, the teenager sailed with the breeze to land just beneath the tree. He felt heaviness in touching earth again at the top of the mountain. But, it felt different here. It felt lighter at the top than it did in his village below. Then he noticed a group of birds that circled above him before landing in the mesquite tree one by one as if they were about to host a meeting. With respect, Devdan started to sit down in honor of the gathering before him. As soon as Devdan had taken a seat, the instruction began. “You will now be called Dev,” came the strong message from the bald eagle sitting on the main branch of the tree. “You have finished your climb and have become one of us,” the Eagle stated in finality.

“Have I died?” Devdan asked aloud in his dream.

“No,” answered the grey hawk who was perched to left of the Almighty Eagle, “you have merely risen.”

Devdan awoke early the next morning feeling differently than all his other days. The dream seemed so real and it had felt completely natural to fly. In a daze, Devdan wandered, as was customary, to the place the young boys gathered daily to practice the games. As one of Devdan’s favorite games was about to begin, he held up his hand and stopped play before the game had even started. “I can’t play any longer,” Devdan said aloud. He spoke without forethought; unaware that he had done so. Shocked and upset, the many boys wondered what was wrong with Devdan. Several “weaker” boys who had never excelled at the game suddenly became enthusiastic that they might have a chance to win now in Devdan’s absence.

The Teachers of the games immediately surrounded and scolded Devdan for his outburst. One teacher in particular yelled at the disrespectful youth because of his rebellion and dishonor to his elders, the tribe and his family. The angry instructor publicly chided Devdan stating that he wouldn’t even be allowed to try to climb the mountain if he stopped playing the games.

Devdan stood still and replied “I am Dev. No longer are you to call me Devdan.”

The boys and all their teachers stood still in response to the way Dev had spoken. The confused group turned angry and halted all game activities due to the unusual act of disobedience. Boys circled around Dev buzzing like flies. Teachers forced Dev immediately to go see the Tribal Chief. A disturbance of this kind had never been expressed so blatantly in the small village and everyone stopped their morning activities to follow Dev’s footsteps in wonder of what the Indian Chief would say to the once- popular Indian Boy.

Dev said nothing as the entire tribe yelled and poked at him with words, fists and even spears as they approached the tent of the Chief. Only moments before the arrival of the angry mob, the Indian Chief had been told of the special boy’s incident and his desire not to play the games. The tent flap opened from the Chief’s teepee and the Chief himself was presented to the masses; which consisted of every member of the tribe. Immediately, the tribe began to quiet in respect and honor of the Chief.

“Devdan, have you disrespected yourself, your family, all of us and the ancient ones in not playing the games?”

The mob that had once exclusively encircled Dev had now surrounded both the Chief and the boy. Without words, Dev began to sit, as he had done in his dream. Before being killed, many of the tribe’s enemies had been forced to kneel before the Chief but no one -friend or foe- had ever sat before the Holy Man without being given permission. The entire tribe stood back in horror of what would certainly take place. The sitting boy’s parents became hysterical and cried that the Chief of the tribe would spare their son’s life. The Chief held his hand to quiet the hate- filled crowd.

“What do you have to say to me… ‘Dev’…?” The Chief of the Indian Tribe mocked his new name.

Sitting quietly and unaffected by the hostile environment surrounding him, Dev spoke: “I have risen.” He gestured to the cliffs that comprised the mountain. Uncomfortable laughter came from the crowd while the Chief looked to the boy’s teachers- of- the- game as they collectively shook their heads. No, the boy had not climbed the mountain.

“Do you have us believe that you climbed the mountain?” responded the Chief.

Dev spoke no more. The beautiful boy remained quiet and comfortable in his conversation with the High Priest.

The entire tribe awoke from their collective shock and once again began to rage at the boy with increased threats, jabbing, spears and even rocks.

In an inner quietness, Dev closed his eyes in wonder of his dream. He knew what it meant to be raised and in his very last breath he smiled and wondered if his family, friends and community would realize what they had done. Then, the crowd quieted when life left the boy’s body. It was finished. The body remained still and lifeless. A sudden vortex of wind enveloped the group. Air, decorated with a hint of red dust, whirled from the earth. The circular motion of wind unexpectedly paused in mid-air and then disappeared straight up as if the dust particles were sucked upward through a straw. The change of the wind’s circular motion to linear was unnatural, but it was understood to be physical evidence of the release of the spirit into the heavens. Then, in unison, the crowd gasped and breathed as one. Dev had ascended.

Every media baron and conglomerate want to control the flow of news and information- it’s just good business. In the first part of the 20th century, one out of every four Americans read a Hearst-published newspaper. Today, there are options. Companies like Rupert Murdoch’s News Corporation are likely to be 10 times the size of Hearst.

Anyone who has played Monopoly understands that the game’s objective is to try to own everything. This is true in commerce too. Laws have been enacted to stop unfair behavior but creating a monopoly is the objective of every business. Companies that corner a market have exclusive control to manipulate anything and everything within their industry- including prices.

In 2005, Rupert Murdoch, CEO of News Corporation, addressed the American Society of Newspaper Editors. He stated, “Newspapers as a medium for centuries [have] enjoyed a virtual information monopoly.” In the same speech, Mr. Murdoch is also quoted as saying, “We’ve been slow to react.” when referencing the newspaper industry’s adaptation to the internet.

That same year, the News Corporation acquired the social network MySpace for $580 million. Last month they sold the company for 6% of its original value or approximately $35 million. In six years, News Corporation did nothing to enhance the usefulness and value of MySpace in fact they killed it. It seems fair to assess that the News Corporation doesn’t have a clue how to manage internet mediums and social networking.

Recently, President Obama held a town meeting located at Facebook’s headquarters. This is important to note because it indicates that there is no media conglomerate capable of spreading information the same as a social network. While every media company owns television equipment, none own their own powerful social network. At one time, News Corporation’s MySpace purchase might have been the closest attempt.

Obviously, social networking is a news source. President Obama recently added further creditability of this certainty by using Twitter to post news on the wire. Today, no media company controls the wire. Media conglomerates are becoming as antiquated as the Ticker Tape machines that were once used to ensure news exclusivity.

Can it be true that social networking is destroying the information monopoly of news organizations? That’s just the start. Social networks provide information almost instantaneously. No longer must a person wait for the paper or their favorite evening news show to follow a story. Social networking is quicker than 24/7 cable news networks. It’s a lightening fast stream of interaction that allows everyone to be connected all the time.

Perhaps social networking, while destroying the traditional monopolistic model, is opening the doors to an even higher level of communication. What spiritual implications does social networking pave the road for? Maybe this is all practice for a new type of telepathic communication. This idea will be the theme of the next article in this series.

Yes, most of us claim to be free but are you? The precious truth of freedom has been fought for and protected but it needs no guard. Basic rules of freedom are respectively worshiped as a collective and provides for those who are free —a direction. Guidelines and positions are established through modifications to control freedom until aspects of slavery again reappear in whole or in part. The choice to be free is yours eternally to possess.

The majority of us think ourselves to be free but how true is this for you? Consider your heart felt feelings when answering these questions.

Do you stay in a relationship to make others content or happy?

There is no need to define the word relationship as it has broad application to all that is personally created around you. For example, many forms of intimate relationships can be beautiful mirrors of personal reflection in determining if you are really free.

During a private consultation, one woman stated “I stay married because… I have to… I have kids.” Another woman I met with reflected her thoughts “…I have been with him for 42 years (the kids are gone) I don’t know what he would do if I left…” A man might phrase his concern for another type of relationship another way “I work because… I have to…I have two kids…” Another masculine perspective is ” I have been in this job for 20 years I can’t leave now…what would I do?” Are they really free?

Do you promote freedom but can’t find it for yourself?

Consider, another woman who owns her own business with a staff dedicated to the service of others. The medical community and especially the patients that her company serves respect her. Desirous to share her success and wealth with others she considers a venture into professional speaking with her first presentation entitled “Living your dreams.” Beautifully prepared to teach, this lovely soul has internal conflict with her topic because secretly she is aware that she isn’t happy with what she does. Intellectually, with her true feelings awakened, she avoids the speaking idea and continues pursuing other things that bring her external recognition. However, she feels unhappy that others continue to take her encouragement to live their dreams while it seems personally outside her own ability to possess it. Is she really free?

Are you free to speak?

In my childhood household, due to the influence of a father who served in military intelligence, almost all forms of family communication were constrained. Even answering the family telephone had numerous rules as to what information could be revealed. Everyone in our family knew of the unwritten but very present rules that dedicated our “free” speech.

Our freedom of speech in this country is analogous to a majestic voice that crescendos the words ” the land of the free” then suddenly the high note goes flat when a child or housewife can no longer speak freely within their own home. Are you able to speak freely within your household or job? Do you speak from your heart or do you speak only about those things that will be received well by others surrounding you? There is no judgment in your choice to speak or not to speak. But how do you feel about speaking to others intimately around you without any internal or external censorship? How do you feel about saying “anything” that you want? Are you free?

Are you free of fear?

If the first three questions didn’t give you pause then this one might. Logically, you may have already begun defending your position “is anyone free of fear?” While the answer is unimportant*, you might consider a life free of fear. If you were free of fear what alternatives would be open to you? If you didn’t have any fear of humiliation what would you do? Would your life be the same as it is now? What would do or express? Are you really free?

The truth is you are a slave. You are a slave because you have chosen to be. It has nothing to do with your experiences it has to do with your choices. History is filled with examples of individuals and nations that couldn’t find their freedom once it was granted. Do you remember the movie the Ten Commandments when the Israelite’s fled Egypt? Their freedom was granted Divinely yet they wanted to return to slavery because freedom seemed initially uncomfortable.

Consider examples of slavery in the year 2001; a battered woman who repeatedly returns to her abuser, a successful actor who can’t overcome an addiction, a workaholic who can’t leave the office, a child that is told they can’t sing, play, talk or read…

Is freedom only a dream? Some nations and individuals think so. What about you? Do you live in a free society? Are you free to exist as your true self?

The choice of free-will

While you may have picked slavery as your initial option you always have free-will choice. Regardless of where you live, the rules and traditions that govern your house, state or country are illusionary. You possess Universal free-will choice. This choice extends beyond the dimension of this earthly plane. The choice not to choose is also recognized. The choice not to be free is accepted equally with those who choose total freedom. Become aware that your choice to be free is within your power. Let us create true freedom with every breath of our awareness.

Your choice to discover and remove old comfortable standards of confinement to free your real self is available to you now. In spite of perceptions of bondage that may presently encompass your life the choice to be free is yours. Old cyclic patterns of slavery that were once considered the norm are remade with your choice to be free. Let freedom ring in your choice to accept that which is Divinely yours. Let your dreams manifest everything that —is possible— in your choice of total freedom.

*Consider the many personal examples of “Masters” who have transcended illusions such as fear.

Your ability to create is unlimited in your choice to dream. Your gift to dream is not limited to nocturnal activity that isn’t remembered the following day. Your genius to create from dreams is Divine. Your choice to embrace your dreams as reality gives birth to a New World.

We are surrounded by phrases or affirmations of encouragement to remember our connection to the highest source through conscious intention or the dream state. “What you think so shall you become ‘”Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but when dreams come true, there is life and joy.”

All of humanity has brought access to their Divine connection through dreams. Allowing yourself to dream is considered by some to be an extravagant waste of time while for others it is considered an obsession. Undisputed, even through physical explanation, dreaming is an integral part of who we are. Recognizing and empowering these inherent gifts provides every being a direct path of their own creation.

The Shell or Ego can not perceive being accountable for what you have created but nonetheless it is true. On every level there are parts of you that are creating and thus you are responsible for everything that surrounds you. This doesn’t need to be interpreted by the ego’s need for judgment but rather the illumination that your ability to create is another reminder of your Divine status. Recognizing what you have constructed is wonderful but more important is your ability to dream in the current moment.

While the Shell’s hope is to constrain in dominion of what has been created of your past there is no actual correlation of your past to your the future. (Unless you have created it to be so.) Dreaming is a free state of mental imagery that defies the confines of the Shell.

This is why so many of your dreams seem out-of-context with the illusionary limitations of this earth plane. Elements such as time that are perceived real in this world are removed and dreams and their messages appear juxtaposed. Entitle yourself to remain open as a significant key in creating awareness and conceiving.

Unfortunately, there are many who have determined that their dreams are not to be remembered. This obvious conflict of wanting to remember your dreams but not wanting to perceive them creates a block or white-out of recollection. Unblocking yourself consciously to recall your dreams is exceedingly impactful. Waking up to dreams doesn’t have to be considered hard. As previously suggested, the choice to initiate an open state is huge step in becoming aware.

What constitutes dreaming? Just your intent. Dreams do not need to be limited to your sleep nor do they need interpreting. Dreams are connections to a whole world. Just as the word whole means this dream world is undivided. Therefore, this dimension and world doesn’t have to fit neatly into the confines of the intellectual mind. Consequently, dreams won’t ever make perfect sense to the ever-questioning demands and limitations of the Shell.

Allowing yourself dream activity is strongly encouraged. Choosing to receive information in the dream state provides you with awareness that is otherwise blocked by limited paradigms of the Shell. Ideas, inventions, processes, discoveries of all kinds are often explored or brought to awareness through dreaming. Your participation in expanding your connection to the Universe in this way is as easy as a choice. Dreams also bring forth certain clarity to otherwise hidden or blocked feelings that you are trying to understand. Some use dreams to make decisions or workout their problems. Thus, the term “let me sleep on it.”

Using your dreams to manifest anything is probably one of the most underutilized attributes of your physical existence. Many have experienced disappointment when dreams do not manifest and through the acclaimed power of the Shell dreams are then curtailed. Beautifully, the feelings associated with past experiences are not binding. When you again embrace your divine choice to dream the possibilities for creation are endless. Removing the Shell’s need to attach perceptions of outcome while remaining wide open is also infinitely encouraged.

In allowing yourself to dream you reestablish a connection to the flow of all that is. Simply stated, you become a part of a channel or conduit of all that has been both in past, present, and future. This too is why time is difficult to discern, as most dreams do not honor this perceived limitation as real. In expanding yourself into the truth that you can tap into the collective unity of all is extremely powerful. Consider using your innate gift of dreaming to tap into the Source. For example, through an open state of daydreaming you may find those dormant gifts within you suddenly appear in an overwhelming sensation, visualization, understanding or creation.

Let it out. Dreams do not need to be labeled and constrained as child like fantasies. Your ability to dispose of judgment of this kind directly contributes to your success of creating and manifesting. Giving yourself permission to enter this illogical state is fun and very often liberating. Being open to the potential of your power of dreaming is vastly underutilized. Consciously create your dreams. And inversely, allow yourself to receive Divine communication through your dreams. Tap into the unity of other creators through your dreams and enjoy engaging beyond the perceived limitations of this linear dimension.

What an interesting sentence. So powerfully direct. It’s an invitation to someone else’s fear. The plea is even more profound when one openly inquires, “Why?”

The age-old paradigm that says fear is a natural and desired part of who we are is commonly reinforced. You hear it everywhere. According to this line of thinking, fear is a necessary and useful emotion. This belief presumes that people need to be protected and that fear is an integral part of our defense system. In essence, fear is good.

If fear is good, then how is it working for you? How does fear shape the world you’re creating?

Engaging in fear, places your focus and attention in the direction of lack. Tuning into fear creates separation. For example, in starting a new exercise regime, a fear-based mind might stress how you could hurt yourself. Further, in this state, you might have thoughts of becoming sore, agitated or even weak. All states of fear or separation.

This is just the beginning.

When fear first originates as an energy or mindset, it instantly invites others of like-mind to join it. This energy travels down a lightning-fast network immediately producing a homogeneous group of fear-based thinkers. New initiates to this faction instantly become members when they choose to engage in fear. Lifelong affiliates can’t acknowledge anything but fear – for them there are no other alternatives.

In mere seconds, fear becomes “real.” Over time, this fear becomes a physical entity- an element. Imagine fear holding its place on the scientist’s periodic chart. Envision it having mass or weight. Consider, in simple terms, fear taking its place among the basic elements; Earth. Wind. Fire. Ether. – Fear.

How is fear so easily transferred? Is it logical and wise that you should open yourself up to someone else’s fear?

Fear based energy is interesting to observe. Fear and its followers are almost never alone. Fear needs a place of exchange so it can be distributed and sold. Marketplaces of fear are seen anywhere. They’re easily spotted with huge advertising campaigns all selling and promoting fear.

Fear loves groups. Without a community of people experiencing fear, there is only one person holding the belief. Interestingly, no one wants to be seen as the author or creator of fear. This accountability would prove embarrassing as no one wants to be a Source of Fear. Nobody wants recognition for possessing the fear. Participating in fear is exactly like a game of hot potatoes. There are many players but no one wants to be caught holding the bag.

Addressing fear directly is uncommon. Instead, predominant attention is given to not being caught with fear or its gang of friends: anxiety, doubt and uncertainty. Most everyone plays the game, while never acknowledging that we don’t have to take part. We don’t have to be afraid.

When you release fear as a paradigm, you are free. This freedom comes at no cost. Releasing fear alters your life. Your creation. Your world. Imagine living in a state of bliss without fear.

If you’re having trouble imagining a life without fear, change that thinking right now. Start by playing with ideas that embrace the fearless state. When you come across anything that feels like fear, laugh and do anything that feels good. Dare yourself to do whatever it takes to live boldly. Stop thinking from the confines of the wet blanket of your mind, instead, choose to be fearless.

Next time you meet a recruiter who secretively whispers, “I am afraid for you,” rejoice and smile that you aren’t a member of Club Fear. Be direct and express that you aren’t afraid anymore. Allow those people who carry fear to hold the hot potato. Extend space that they might reflect or even stew in it.

See yourself free of worry, doubt and fear. Feel it. There’s no need to think. Dive fearlessly into your empowerment. Enjoy being relaxed and clear. Consider yourself open and innocent like child. Exist free and untethered. Know fear isn’t real and act accordingly.

The initial sentence of my daily journaling with Spirit usually begins with this question. The inquiry was first formulated in Hawaii when I was concerned about the consistency of God and the Angelic realm always being there when I called upon them. Therefore, it seemed logical that I should always ask the same question in the beginning of my journaling or channeling to make sure they were still there. My hearing the Source and Spirit is tremendously valuable to me and “I didn’t want to loose it.”

Recently someone asked me, respective of my clear hearing of Spirit, “What if you tuned on your hearing and you couldn’t hear?” Before I was really able to think, the answer had already emerged from my mouth “it’s impossible.” Perplexed and frustrated this person’s shell or lower self burst out in tears and said, “Well… I don’t hear like you do!” While there seems to be some truth that most people don’t hear voices or other sounds of Spirit everyone is equipped to perceive Spirit – if they want to.

The anguished cry to connect with the Divine is within your power. Remembering how to receive Spiritual messages is as easy as you want it to be. The incorporation of all your Spiritual senses does not need to be dissected but it may help you initiate awareness in your own abilities to connect. Create openness and intent of mind and much can be recalled. Accept that you are able to integrate Spiritual consciousness. Determine if you have a principal way of communicating that you have otherwise overlooked and then unite them again in oneness with all that is.

The Spiritual senses used to describe the ability to perceive and connect with Spirit are sometimes currently referenced as “clairs.” The slang use of clair refers to the first syllable of a group of four words that attempt to describe these extra sensory perceptions. These words are; Clairvoyance, Clairsentience, Claircognizance, and Clairaudience. The most commonly understood word is clairvoyance, which categorizes clear seeing. This word means an ability to see images or pictures beyond the physical realm seeing Spiritual images. The remaining three words mean in their respective order; clear feeling, clear knowing, and clear hearing.

These words, as recognized with all words in every language, are merely symbols representing intrinsic feelings. The most prevailing initial clair describes our native ability to feel through clairsentience. The clear feelings are the closest state of our Spiritual being or esoteric form. These feelings might be described by the Wall Street Journal as “gut feelings” while Oprah might describe the same feelings emanating from the Soul. Regardless of your choice of semantics the messages or connection to a Higher Source is the same. It is magnificent to be aware how everyone in the flesh has access to these “higher powers” regardless of their geography, tradition, or culture. In essence, we have all been given the means to communicate with the Divine regardless of any perceived condition or limitation.

In picking up my daily journal I laughed at the possibility of the question “Are you there?” might reference me being there. How many times in my past had I ignored clear messages from Spirit before remembering these gifts within? The humor was in the reversal of the question about them being there when maybe they were asking me if “I was there?” In hindsight, I smiled about the patient and consistent dedication of the Source in my continued awakening. The gift of being or allowing Spirit to communicate with you will come to you in any form you determine to be comfortable. This too is an act of love by the Universe in respect of your continued free-will choice. Open your Soul and you will find flowing messages from the Divine that are hard to ignore.
